RaceOption is an online broker offering over 150 binary contracts across forex, stocks, indices, commodities and cryptos, with competitive payouts up to 95%. The broker’s platform provides standout charting and analysis features for all levels of traders, though the lack of regulatory safeguards is a major downside.

Pros & Cons

Pros

• RaceOption is a particularly good choice for forex binary trading, with above-average payouts up to 95% on major and minor currency pairs, as well as crypto pairs like ETC/USDT.
• The web platform has been improved and is now among the best we’ve traded on, with access to tick charts and TradingView integration for experienced technical traders.
• Switch between Turbo mode (5-second to 30-minute durations), Intraday mode (up to 24 hours with 1-hour increments), and Long-term mode (daily timeframes up to 1 month), catering to diverse strategies.

Cons

• RaceOption is registered offshore and does not hold any trusted financial regulatory licenses, so clients may not receive strong financial and legal protections in case of withdrawal disputes.
• The $200 minimum deposit requirement for the entry-tier account is on the high side (World Forex lets you start with just $1), and may be a drawback for beginners with less starting capital.
• Payout boosts starting from +1% are only available for Silver, Gold and VIP account holders, which come with hefty investments of $1,000 to $50,000.

Company Details

Raceoption is operated by Makrun Corp and is registered in the Marshall Islands, an offshore jurisdiction.

While this doesn’t make it a scam, the broker is effectively unregulated, with no license from a trusted body in our regulator database. This means traders will not benefit from financial safeguarding measures such as compensation if the broker goes insolvent or formal dispute resolution processes.

Accounts

RaceOption offers four account tiers, with increasing benefits such as faster withdrawals, priority support, and payout boosts.

We see this approach taken by multiple binary providers, including Binarium and IQCent – it really only benefits well-funded traders leaving smaller accounts with less attractive trading conditions.

• Bronze – $200 minimum deposit, +0% payout boost, 20 free rollovers, 0.1% TradeBack, 8-hour withdrawal time, standard customer support.
• Silver – $1000 minimum deposit, +1% payouts boost, 50 free rollovers, 0.5% TradeBack, 4-hour withdrawal time, priority customer support.
• Gold – $5000 minimum deposit, +2% payouts boost, 300 free rollovers, 1% TradeBack, 1-hour withdrawal time, priority customer support.
• VIP – $50,000 minimum deposit,+3% payouts boost, 500 free rollovers, 2% TradeBack, 0-hour withdrawal time, priority customer support.

The downsides are that the first account requires a high $200 minimum deposit, whereas providers like CloseOption require just $5. On the other end of the scale, the $50,000 deposit for the VIP account, and thus the best trading conditions, will be out of reach for the majority of users.

Markets

RaceOption offers a wide range of 150+ binary assets across forex, stocks, commodities, indices and cryptos, which provides plenty of trading opportunities for beginners and seasoned traders.

This includes major currency pairs like EUR/USD, US technology stocks, commodities like gold, and major equity indices in the US and Europe.

This selection is much broader than that of World Forex, for example, which only offers 28 products covering forex, metals, and cryptos.

 

Its ‘Hype’ and ‘Pool’ options are also only found at a handful of binary brands, and allow you to speculate on buzz around popular people, events and assets, driven by short-term market movements.

However, with limited information provided on the mechanics of these products, we’d recommend caution before being drawn in by the huge potential payouts of up to 2,500%.

Payouts

We recorded live payouts on RaceOption across “peak” vs “off-peak” sessions and stacked them against the site’s stated figures.

Headline: peak results were roughly 1–5% below advertised, while off-peak came in ~8–17% lower; EUR/USD showed the sharpest drop outside the London/US overlap.

Silver, Gold and VIP account holders also benefit from additional payout boosts of +1%, +2%, and +3% respectively.

Expiry Times

RaceOption offers a strong range of expiry times, between 5 seconds and 30 days – making the broker ideal for both short-term binary traders and longer-term speculators.

It’s easy to switch between timeframes on the platform using the ‘Trade Type’ dropdown in the trade window and selecting ‘Turbo’, ‘Intraday’ or ‘Long-Term’.

Platform

The platform sits with the best we’ve used out of any binary provider and is on par with IQCent’s feature-rich web platform.

Where it used to have a stale look and feel, the design has been revamped and now sports a modern, intuitive aesthetic.

We like the choice between a tick chart, candlestick chart, or the TradingView interface, which comes with a superior range of 100+ indicators. The tick and candlestick charts offer a smaller range of 8 indicators, making them a good starting point for beginners and those focused on ultra-short-term setups.

There’s also a wide range of additional features in the left-hand menu, including a binary copy trading hub, contests, market analysis, and a help center.

The main downside is the lack of integrated education which would have been useful for newer traders.

Payment Methods

Deposits can be made using the ‘Add Funds’ button in the top right-hand corner of the platform.

Available methods depend on your location but generally include bank cards, cryptocurrencies, and e-wallets. That said, if you prefer to deposit in cryptos, you will be the most catered for – we were offered 60+ tokens to deposit with during our latest round of tests.

One drawback is the $200 minimum funding amount for the Bronze account, which applies to all individual deposits. However, you can opt to deposit a minimum of $10 using cryptocurrency, though you will not reach the Bronze status until the minimum requirement is met.

The minimum withdrawal is only $50 and has no fees. Withdrawal times depend on your account status but are around 8 hours for Bronze account holders.

Customer Support

The fastest way to reach RaceOption is via the 24/7 in-platform live chat, which responded immediately to our general queries during tests.

That said, responses were generated by an AI bot, so any complex technical queries would be best directed towards the broker’s Ticket system.

Still, it did the job in clarifying our confusion that in some places RaceOption advertises a minimum deposit of $250, whereas in others, it’s $200. It turns out, the correct figure is $200. Hopefully they rectify the conflicting information on their website pages for completeness.

Overall, support is a mixed experience – helpful but generic chat support with escalation needed, and very slow, incomplete responses over email regarding bonus terms.

Should You Trade Binary Options With RaceOption?

RaceOption is a strong choice for active binary traders looking for a strong charting platform. With turbo, intraday and long-term durations, over 150 assets and TradingView integration, traders at all experience levels are catered for.

The catch is the broker’s unregulated status, which requires careful consideration before depositing funds.
