Trading Platform
The trading platform is simple and intuitive, there’s no need to reinvent the wheel and this broker didn’t.
What it did do was make the platform available on desktop and mobile via Windows, iOS, and Android.
The platform is comfortable to use and features charts with direct access to trading. The charts can be set up in four different ways including candles and price bars with order-tabs at the bottom of the screen.
Expert Option only supports one type of trading and this is a long/short call on the desired asset.
The charts include some advanced features but not as many as you might find on other platforms. There are 8 advertised trading indicators, trendlines, drawing tools, and social trading functions.
The website also includes a complete line of introductory educational materials to help new traders get started.
Demo Account
ExpertOption has a full-featured demo account that can be accessed after you open an account. The demo has $10,000 of virtual money for traders to use on practice trades.
Asset List
The asset list at ExpertOption is as good as you can find anywhere. The platform supports over 100 tradable assets including stocks, forex, commodities, and cryptocurrency.
The platform lists more stock assets than anything else but also all the major forex pairs and the top-traded cryptocurrencies. Expiration can be as short as 1 minute for some assets like FX and crypto or up to 1 month for stocks and indices.
Deposits And Withdrawals
Deposits are easy to make. The company uses more than 20 different payment systems including Visa, Mastercard, Skrill, Monero, and bank wires.
Deposits can be made by credit or debit card or using an eWallet. ExpertOption is not accepting cryptocurrency at this time.
The minimum deposit is only $10 so you don’t have to risk much to get started. The smallest trade is only $1 so even with $10 you can do a little bit of trading.
The downside is that there are not many extra features unless you deposit at least $500 and you can’t make large trades without a deposit of $2,500.
Withdrawals are made back to original source. The minimum to withdraw is $10 and will process in two days. It may take up to two weeks though, for funds to show back into the account, depending on how the withdrawal was made.
ExpertOption has a bonus program that works a little differently than what we’ve seen in the past. The bonus is awarded as a welcome bonus and added to the account immediately.
The catch is that the bonus can never be withdrawn and isn’t even used until the deposited funds are used up. At that time traders can use the bonus funds to trade until they go positive. Any profits above the bonus amount can be withdrawn.
ExpertOption Social Trading
ExpertOption has two social trading features that clients can tap into. The first is a live stream of trades that appears on the charts based on the asset.
Clients can also view top-ranked traders on a leader board and reach out to them on four social media platforms or trade along with their friends.
