Pocket Option Review 2025
- Min Deposit: $50
- Bonus: 50% Deposit Bonus
- Payout: 92%
- Demo Account: Yes
- Expiry Times: 3 seconds - 1 month
Pocket Option is a top binary broker for active traders due to its wide range of binary assets and regular platform updates. Features include ‘AI Trading’ and various expiry times from 3 seconds to 1 month.
Pocket Option is an online broker that provides access to 180+ different binary assets across five markets – currencies, stocks, indices, commodities, and crypto. We first evaluated Pocket Option in 2021 and have since retested it multiple times, tracking new binary products, platform upgrades, and regulation details, culminating in this updated review for 2025.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Pocket Option was the biggest winner in BinaryOptions.net’s 2025 awards, coming 1st place in 5 categories (overall, market offering, payouts, expiry times, and product upgrades), cementing its position as top broker.
- Pocket Option has improved its range of expiry times, now starting from 3 seconds (it used to be 5 seconds) and lasting up to 1 month (it used to be 4 hours). It now provides the shortest binary contracts of any firm we’ve tested, catering to ultra-short-term traders.
- The 180+ binary assets available in the platform make it a category leader for market depth, while the ‘double up’ feature lets you 2x your position size and potential returns in one click.
- Pocket Option offers more than just a simple platform for trading binaries, with regular tournaments, social trading, signals, and perks for ‘achievements’, providing a comprehensive trading experience.
- The web-accessible platform is well-designed, with a slick interface (especially in dark mode), where you can navigate assets, adjust stakes and contract expiries in a couple of clicks, and clearly view potential payouts before entering trades.
- Pocket Option is one of the first binary firms to offer an ‘AI Trading’ feature, which automatically finds and acts on short-term trading opportunities, although transparency behind its trading decisions could be improved.
Cons
- While the number of binary assets impresses, especially big US technology stocks like Apple, Tesla and Amazon, Pocket Option doesn’t offer any bespoke products, with IQCent, for example, offering ‘Hype Pool’ binaries, which let you speculate on trending events.
- Although the minimum deposit is accessible at $50 and the minimum withdrawal is low at $10, the selection of payment methods is crypto-heavy, with just a few e-wallet options and bank cards, which may deter traders that prefer traditional payment options.
- The maximum payouts of 92% we observed in our last platform tests don’t quite stack up to the potential returns of some providers, notably Quotex, which offers up to 96% on binaries from our evaluations.
- There’s no escaping Pocket Option’s unregulated status, which makes it a high-risk platform to place your money with, especially compared to more regulated firms like Dukascopy.
Company Details
Pocket Option (Infinite Trade LLC) was founded in 2017 and is registered in the Republic of Costa Rica, under registration number 4062001303240.
It also claims to hold a Brokerage License via the International IBC Regulation Act 2014 and operates through the Autonomous Island of Mwali (Mohéli), Comoros Union.
Previously, Pocket Option operated through Gembell Ltd., and said it was registered with the International Financial Market Relations Regulation Centre (IFMRRC).
But crucially, none of these are established, trusted financial organizations listed in BinaryOptions.net’s regulator database, nor any body recognized in IOSCO’s membership list. This makes Pocket Option effectively unregulated.
While this is common, as there are very few well-regulated binary providers, it does raise the risks of falling victim to unfair trading practices and clients should expect limited recourse options if they run into withdrawal issues. There’s also no access to investor compensation in the case of broker insolvency – a safety net provided in some tightly regulated regions.
Additionally, we dug through regulator warnings and found several have issued public notices about Pocket Option not being authorized to provide services in their countries, including the CFTC in the US, the FCA in the UK, and the ASC in Canada.
Pocket Option does use SSL encryption, follows KYC/AML policies and segregates client funds from company money.
Accounts
Pocket Option offers just one live account with an accessible minimum deposit requirement of $50. This keeps things simple for newer traders and still provides access to benefits like social binary trading and trading tournaments.
The onboarding process is also among the smoothest I’ve seen. It took me less than five minutes to provide the required personal details, verify my account via the email code, and access the binary platform.
Pocket Option also has a reward scheme where active traders can earn Gems in exchange for perks in three tiers: Bronze, Silver and Gold. Perks include risk-free trades, cashback and bonuses.
The Gems system is fairly unique in the binary space, but the perks you get and the Bronze to Gold tiers are similar to what we’ve seen at some other binary firms, such as IQCent.
Pro tip: Pocket Option offers a free binary demo trading account. It can be accessed in one click by selecting ‘free demo’ on the firm’s website. What’s neat is that even after opening a live account, you can still easily toggle back to demo mode to test strategies before risking funds.

Toggling between live and demo
Markets
Pocket Option offers a leading selection of 180+ binary assets, more than any other binary broker that we’ve tested.
There are five tradable asset classes allowing for diversification opportunities: forex, cryptocurrencies, commodities, stocks and indices, with OTC and non-OTC contracts available. Non-OTC stocks are not available for trading at all times.
You can choose what asset you want to trade using the menu in the left of the platform. Then you can enter your stake (manually or toggle the buttons), decide on an expiry (manually or toggle the buttons), and then press ‘buy’ if you think the price will rise by the expiry time and ‘sell’ if you think it will fall.
| Asset Class | Examples | Our Notes From Testing |
|---|---|---|
| Forex | EUR/USD, USD/JPY, GBP/EUR | Most liquid and highest payouts. |
| Stocks | Pfizer, Apple, Boeing | Limited to US-listed stocks. |
| Indices | S&P 500, Japan 225, Australia 200 | Excellent global coverage. Lowest payouts of any class. |
| Commodities | Brent oil, natural gas, gold, platinum | Limited selection but fast execution. |
| Cryptocurrencies | Bitcoin, Ethereum, TRON, Toncoin | Highly volatile but payouts relatively stable. |

Payouts
Payouts at Pocket Option are available up to 92% on forex, cryptos, and stocks, which are fairly competitive, though don’t quite match Quotex‘s observed payouts of up to 96%, according to our tests.
We ran live payout tests on Pocket Option across four assets (EUR/USD, Bitcoin, S&P 500, gold) and two sessions (peak vs off-peak), comparing observed returns to the brand’s advertised rates at common expiries.
What we found were that peak payouts were generally within 0–2% of advertised, while off-peak ran around 2–12% lower; with EUR/USD and BTC being the steadiest, and SPX and gold showing the largest off-peak drift from advertised.
| Asset | Expiry | Advertised Payout | Observed Payout (Peak) | Observed Payout (Off-peak) | Deviation vs Advertised (Peak) | Deviation vs Advertised (Off-peak) | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| EUR/USD | 10 minutes | 92% | 91–92% | 80–85% | 0 to −1% | −7 to −12% | Stable payout on the main FX pair during active hours. Drops outside major session overlaps. |
| BTC | 30 minutes | 92% | 90–92% | 85–87% | 0 to −2% | −4 to −7% | High advertised accuracy during peak hours. Variance typical of OTC crypto. |
| SPX | 10 minutes | 88% | 85–88% | 78–82% | 0 to −3% | −6 to −10% | Close to marketed range during peak trading. Reduced activity reflected in payouts in off-peak trading. |
| XAU/USD | 10 minutes | 80% | 78–80% | 75–78% | 0 to −2% | −2 to −5% | OTC market; consistent advertised vs actual during peak sessions. Slightly lower off-peak sessions. |
Expiry Times
Pocket Option offers excellent trading opportunities for both short-term and longer-term binary traders.
Trade durations are now as short as 3 seconds, having previously started from 5 seconds. This marks Pocket Option out against competitors, especially for day traders seeking ultra-short-term trading opportunities.
Long-term traders are also now more catered for, with the option to use the ‘By the Time’ pending trade feature, where you can pick a date and time up to 1 month ahead. This is an improvement, with the firm previously focusing on shorter-term trades that maxed out at 4 hours.
Platform
Pocket Option offers a proprietary web-based trading platform for binary trading, which requires no download and can be accessed from most major browsers. There’s also a web-optimized mobile app for iOS users and a downloadable app for Android.
The web application features four chart types (line, candles, bar, heiken ashi) and a reasonable range of 14 timeframes (S5 to D1), though the lack of tick charts, which you can find at firms like IQCent, is an omission for short-term traders.
There is an average selection of 30+ technical indicators (e.g. average true range), though only 9 drawing tools (e.g. fibonacci retracement), which could be a drawback for more experienced technical traders.

American Express Binary Stock Chart
Pocket Option added a feature in 2025 – ‘AI Trading’. This innovative function automatically opens trades based on technical analysis, signals and trader sentiment. However, not enough information is provided on the mechanics behind how it works for us to feel confident using it.
We are also disappointed by the absence of research and analysis features at Pocket Option. There is an economic calendar and a basic analytics function, but these aren’t as intuitive or easy to navigate as RaceOption’s dedicated analysis section.
Overall, the platform looks great, especially if you opt for dark mode – the light theme feels a little outdated. However, the main trading window isn’t as intuitive as others we’ve used. For example, features are split into left-hand and right-hand menus, making tools unnecessarily difficult to navigate. Certain aspects of the platform are also small and difficult to read, and you cannot customize the layout extensively.
| Platform Type | Availability | Notes From Testing |
|---|---|---|
| Web Platform | Chrome, Safari | Fast, no lag or glitches. Responsive charts. |
| Desktop Download | MacOS and Windows | Straightforward download from website. |
| Android App | Google Play Store | Seamless interface, easy to navigate. Occasional lag during peak times. |
| iOS App | Not offered | Web-optimized mobile app. |
Outside of binaries, Pocket Option provides access to MetaTrader platforms (MT4 and MT5). But these are for trading the firm’s other instruments, such as forex.
Payment Methods
Pocket Option offers an okay range of payment methods, including bank cards, cryptos, and e-wallets like Neteller and Skrill.
There are no deposit fees and the minimum deposit requirement is $50 – on par with other low minimum deposit binary brokers.
Pocket Option offers free withdrawals, though there may be third-party fees from your bank. The minimum withdrawal amount is only $10 – great for active traders making frequent withdrawals. There is no maximum withdrawal limit.
| Aspect | Details From Testing/Documents |
|---|---|
| Accepted Methods | Credit/Debit Cards (Visa/Mastercard), E-wallets, Cryptocurrencies (widest choice). |
| Minimum Deposit/Withdrawal | Initial deposit $50, then $5 for individual deposits thereafter. Minimum withdrawal is $10. |
| Fees | No deposit or withdrawal fees, though third-party fees may apply. |
| Processing Time | Deposits are almost instant for many methods, including Tether, bank cards, and WebMoney. Altcoins like Dai can take up to 2 hours. Withdrawals typically take a few minutes up to 3 days. |
| Verification & Method Matching | Withdrawals should be made to the same method used to deposit. Contact the support desk if you can no longer receive funds to the previously used method. |
| Region & Currency Variability | Funds can be deposited or withdrawn in any currency depending on the method. For deposits, funds will be converted to USD in the trading account. |
Additional Features
Pocket Option offers an excellent variety of extra features that cater to all types of trader, from beginner through to seasoned. This is what marks Pocket Option out from most binary firms in our broker directory – it offers a more well-rounded trading experience.
The only catch is the distinct lack of educational resources. This is a drawback for beginners, especially when compared to brokers like OlympTrade, which offers video tutorials, webinars, and in-app tips.
The standout is Pocket Option’s signals, which alert you to trades across FX, commodities, indices and crypto, identified through technical indicators. These allow you to replicate trades in one click, though there’s no guarantee they’ll result in winning trades.
| Feature | Description | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Social Trading | This feature allows you to view and copy other traders’ strategies to learn from their successes and failures. | You can message other traders directly for insights. Not available for demo users. |
| Tournaments | This allows you to compete against other investors for prizes. | Beginner-friendly with free entry for some tournaments, but prize funds can be low – as little as $100. |
| Achievements | These are earned through trading activity, and can grant you better pay-outs, trading funds and other perks to enhance your trading experience. | Achievements likely unattainable unless you are a high frequency, highly experienced trader. |
| Signals | These use technical indicators to alert you of potential opportunities, allowing you to replicate trades in one click. | Signals are based on the indicators available in the platform only, and therefore could be inaccurate. |

Contests
Customer Support
Pocket Option provides round-the-clock customer support, but almost everything runs through its live chat system.
The 24/7 in-platform chat is the best way to get help we’ve found. In our tests, we were usually connected in under a minute, and follow-up chats rarely took longer than 2–3 minutes to receive a first reply.
We’ve used it dozens of times over the years for everything from account sign-up and bonuses to withdrawal checks and questions about contract terms and platform freezes; agents (or the underlying AI) generally gave clear explanations and correctly described how auto-settlement and bonus withdrawal rules work.
Pocket Option also offers a community chat where you can get informal help from other traders. There is no phone support, though, and our latest tests show a growing reliance on AI-generated replies with no obvious way to escalate to a human agent, which could be frustrating if you’re dealing with serious issues like delayed payouts.
Email support is slower than live chat but still reasonable, typically taking between 40 minutes and two hours to respond, with accurate, reasonably detailed answers.
| Support Channel | Availability | Response Time (Our Tests) | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Live Chat | 24/7 | 1–3 minutes | Fastest and most reliable channel; handled questions on withdrawals, bonuses and platform behaviour well in our tests. |
| Email Support | 24/7 | 40–120 minutes | Slower than chat but provided clear explanations around contract terms, tools and withdrawal rules. |
| Community Chat | In-platform | Varies | Peer-to-peer help from other traders; useful for quick tips but not official support. |
| Help Centre / FAQs | Website + App | Instant | Searchable articles covering platform tools, bonuses and account management. |
| Phone Support | Not offered | – | No telephone line for urgent or complex issues. |
Should You Trade Binary Options With Pocket Option?
Pocket Option offers an all-round solution for binary traders, with 180+ assets and an improved range of trade durations for short-term and longer-term contracts.
However, payouts aren’t as competitive as some firms, and the web platform, while benefiting from upgrades, could still be made more customizable. Additionally, the lack of robust regulatory oversight is a major drawback for those seeking peace of mind.
In summary, Pocket Option is best for:
- Active traders looking for a comprehensive investment experience with competitions and social trading opportunities.
- Binary traders who want extensive market access to explore different asset classes, especially US stocks.
- Traders who are willing to forego strong regulatory credentials for a fast, digital sign-up with a low starting deposit.
FAQ
Is Pocket Option Legit Or A Scam?
Pocket Option is a functioning broker in that it’s been operating since 2017, has a working trading platform for dealing in binaries, and hosts various features like tournaments and social trading.
However, it is not regulated by a respected financial regulator. Some regulators have also issued warnings about it providing unauthorized services. Additionally, you may not have any legal protections in the case of disputes. This makes it high-risk. Only deposit funds you can afford to lose.
