About BinaryOptions.net
Welcome to our About Us page. Here you can learn more about who we are, what we do, and how we maintain the quality and integrity of our content.
What is BinaryOptions.net?
BinaryOptions.net is an independent educational and review website that helps traders understand binary options.
We focus on factual, regulation-aware information designed to reduce risk and improve decision-making.
We mainly cover binary options but sometimes also write guide on closely related alternative types of trading such as CFD trading, Event options and DeFi Options. Our goal is to reduce the risk and increase the chance of success for everyone entering binary options trading.
All our resources are 100% free to use.
Our history
BinaryOptions.net was founded in 2011. Since then, we have we’ve published thousands of articles explaining how binaries work, how they’re regulated, and how to choose a broker, with practical insights from our team, which includes experienced traders.
Right now we have about 1600 articles and reviews online that you can enjoy.
Our Goal
Our goal is to help traders understand that binary options are high-risk products. While many traders lose money, we aim to make trading safer through education and transparency.
Some visitors may choose to trade with offshore or unregulated brokers. When we review or list such firms, we do so only to highlight the safest available alternatives, not to promote risky behavior.
See our guide to trading binaries responsibly.
Methodology & Review Process
All our articles are written by humans and all our reviews are written by people who have experience with both the binary options trading in general and the broker in questions.
Articles
All articles are written by human authors and reviewed by editors with expertise in trading and regulation. We rely primarily on first-party sources, including regulator websites and verified company documentation.
Every article is fact-checked. No articles are published before we feel certain that it is correct and do not confuse or mislead our readers. We want to inform, not influence our readers.
You can read our full article methodology policy for more information.
Reviews
Our broker reviews combine quantitative data and hands-on testing. Each review covers over 200 data points verified through official sources or direct trading experience. Reviewers do not disclose their accounts to brokers, and all content is independently written.
The regulatory status of brokers is always confirmed with the regulator.
All our reviews are 100% human-written. Read our full review methodology for more information.
We do review unregulated brokers. You can read why in our policy on unregulated brokers.
How We Stay Abreast of Regulations
Binary options have been the subject of regulatory debate over the years, most notably in the late 2010s and early 2020s when regulators in major markets, including the EU, UK, and Australia, introduced restrictions on some binary options providers.
That’s why we keep our pulse on the latest binary options regulations. We’ve also built and maintain a global database of financial regulators, complete with our own classification system so you can, at a glance, gauge the level of oversight and trader safeguards provided.
When rules change, we update affected reviews and articles with easy-to-understand summaries of what the changes mean for traders.

How We’re Funded
We have partnerships or marketing relationships with some of the companies listed in our comparison tables. This can result in a commission if a visitor opens an account and trades with a broker having clicked a link on our pages.
This does not cost the trader anything; for the brands it is another form of marketing and for BinaryOptions.net, it means that we can continue to provide accurate, informed, and comprehensive comparisons that are free for our visitors to use.
Importantly, commercial terms do not impact our review process. Our first-line testers do not know which firms are partners and we only have arrangements with some of the brands mentioned on our website.
View the list of providers we have commercial arrangements with in our advertising disclosure.
Linking & Sources
We prioritize primary sources such as regulators, central banks, and official filings.
When unavailable, we rely on high-trust secondary or tertiary sources, including established financial publications and peer-reviewed research.
For how we cite, validate, and attribute third-party sources, see our Reference & Linking Policy.
AI Use
We may use AI tools for language checks, translation, and research support.
However, no content is written by AI. All information produced by AI tools is verified and approved by human editors before publication.
